Two engineers in hi-vis reviewing plans during a site assessment

About us

A UK security and technology business, based in Aylesbury.

AK SECURE TECH LTD designs, installs and maintains the physical infrastructure buildings depend on — cameras, alarms, access control, cabling and networks — for homes, offices and commercial property.

Who we are

Engineering-led, locally based, honest about what we do.

We are a security and technology company working across Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire and the surrounding counties. The work covers CCTV and surveillance, intruder detection, access control and door entry, structured cabling, fibre optic networks, business Wi-Fi and the comms rooms that tie all of it together.

We deliberately keep those disciplines under one roof. A camera needs cabling; an access controller needs a network; a wireless access point needs both. Splitting them between contractors creates gaps that nobody owns, and those gaps are usually where a system fails.

The way we work is straightforward: look at the building properly, specify equipment for the conditions it will actually face, install it carefully, document it, and stay available once it is running. That is the whole proposition.

We do not publish customer counts, installation totals, review scores, accreditations or years in business. Where a claim has not been independently verified, we would rather leave it off the website than have you take it on trust.

How we operate

What we hold ourselves to.

01

Our mission

To make security and network infrastructure something clients can stop thinking about — designed for the building it is going into, installed carefully, and supported so it keeps working.

02

Our approach

Survey first, specify second. We look at the property, understand how it is used and what has gone wrong before, then write a specification you can read and compare. No equipment is quoted from a floor plan.

03

Technical expertise

We work across surveillance, intruder detection, access control, structured cabling, fibre and wireless. That range matters because these systems share the same cabling and the same comms room — treating them as separate trades is where most problems start.

04

Installation philosophy

Accessible device positions, contained cable routes, labelling at both ends and a test result for every link. The work that makes year five inexpensive is done in week one.

05

Customer support

Handover includes a demonstration for the people who will actually use the system, as-installed documentation and an agreed servicing arrangement. We stay reachable afterwards.

06

Quality-focused service

Where there is a genuine choice between approaches we set out both with the cost difference. Where replacement would be better value than repair, we say so rather than selling a maintenance contract.

Why AK Secure Tech

The difference is in the decisions made before anything is installed.

Survey before specification

Nothing is quoted from a floor plan. Sight lines, lighting, construction and existing cabling all change what the right answer is.

Equipment chosen for conditions

A camera that performs in a lit reception is the wrong camera for an unlit yard. Specification follows the environment.

Installed to be maintained

Accessible device positions, contained cable routes and labelling at both ends. The work that makes year five cheap happens in week one.

Documented at handover

Test results, as-installed records and a demonstration for the people who will actually use the system.

Sized with headroom

Cabinets, switching and control equipment are specified so adding a door, a camera or a desk does not mean starting again.

Plain answers

Where there is a real choice between approaches we set out both with the cost difference. Where replacement beats repair, we say so.

How we work

Five steps, in the same order every time.

A deliberately unremarkable process. Most of the problems we are asked to fix come from skipping one of these stages.
  1. ConsultationWe start by understanding the problem rather than quoting equipment.
  2. Site AssessmentNothing is specified until the building has been looked at properly.
  3. Solution DesignA specification you can read, understand and compare.
  4. InstallationCareful work, clean site, minimal disruption.
  5. Support & MaintenanceHandover, then an ongoing relationship rather than a closed job.

Service coverage

Based in Aylesbury. Working across the Vale and beyond.

Aylesbury is our base and where the majority of our work is carried out. Local jobs are straightforward to survey, install and return to for servicing, which is the practical reason most of our installations sit within the Vale.

Work with us

Discuss your security and technology requirements.

Tell us about the property and what you are trying to achieve. For anything beyond a very small job we will arrange a site visit, because specifying equipment without seeing the building rarely produces an accurate price.
