Home Security

Protection for the PlaceThat Matters Most.

Cameras, intruder alarms and smart entry for private homes — discreetly installed, simple to live with, and reliable enough that it is actually armed when you leave.

Our services

Everything the building needs, from one team.

Ten disciplines that share the same cabling, the same containment and the same comms room — which is why installing them together works out better.

Not sure which service you need? Describe the property and we will tell you what it actually needs.

About AK Secure Tech

Security and network systems, engineered properly and supported afterwards.

We are a UK security and technology business working across Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire and the surrounding counties. We design, install and maintain the physical infrastructure a building depends on — and we work the same way whether the job is a single camera on a private house or a full commercial fit-out.

  • CCTV, intruder detection, access control and door entry
  • Structured cabling, fibre, business Wi-Fi and comms rooms
  • Surveyed before quoted, documented at handover

Why AK Secure Tech

The difference is in the decisions made before anything is installed.

Survey before specification

Nothing is quoted from a floor plan. Sight lines, lighting, construction and existing cabling all change what the right answer is.

Equipment chosen for conditions

A camera that performs in a lit reception is the wrong camera for an unlit yard. Specification follows the environment.

Installed to be maintained

Accessible device positions, contained cable routes and labelling at both ends. The work that makes year five cheap happens in week one.

Documented at handover

Test results, as-installed records and a demonstration for the people who will actually use the system.

Sized with headroom

Cabinets, switching and control equipment are specified so adding a door, a camera or a desk does not mean starting again.

Plain answers

Where there is a real choice between approaches we set out both with the cost difference. Where replacement beats repair, we say so.

Surveyed before quotedAnything beyond a very small job gets a site visit first.
Written specificationWhat is being installed, where, and why that equipment.
Tested and documentedTest results, labelling and as-installed records at handover.
Supported afterwardsScheduled servicing and technical support once it is running.
CCTV & Surveillance

A camera system is only as good as the design behind it.

Most disappointing CCTV installations fail for the same reasons: cameras pointed at open space, lenses too wide to identify anybody, and recording that fills before the footage is needed. We start with the survey.

Coverage planned per positionCamera type, lens and mounting height are worked out for each location.
Images that identifyEntrances and till points are specified for identification, not a wide view.
Recording sized to retentionStorage is calculated from camera count, resolution and retention period.
Access controlled by roleUser accounts are configured so staff see only the cameras relevant to them.

Industries

Different buildings, different problems.

A warehouse and a listed office need the same engineering discipline and almost none of the same equipment. The survey is where that gets decided.
How we work

Five steps, in the same order every time.

A deliberately unremarkable process. Most of the problems we are asked to fix come from skipping one of these stages.
  1. ConsultationWe start by understanding the problem rather than quoting equipment.
  2. Site AssessmentNothing is specified until the building has been looked at properly.
  3. Solution DesignA specification you can read, understand and compare.
  4. InstallationCareful work, clean site, minimal disruption.
  5. Support & MaintenanceHandover, then an ongoing relationship rather than a closed job.
Maintenance & Support

Equipment degrades quietly. Planned maintenance catches it early.

Lenses lose focus, drives fill, detectors drift out of alignment and standby batteries flatten — usually without anyone noticing until the footage is needed or the alarm is relied on.

We service systems we have installed and take on systems installed by others, starting with a condition survey so you know exactly what you have.

Service coverage

Based in Aylesbury. Working across the Vale and beyond.

Aylesbury is our base and where the majority of our work is carried out. Local jobs are straightforward to survey, install and return to for servicing, which is the practical reason most of our installations sit within the Vale.

Common questions

Questions we are asked before a survey.

If yours is not here, ask. A short conversation usually settles whether a site visit is the right next step.

Next step

Discuss your security and technology requirements.

Tell us about the property and what you are trying to achieve. For anything beyond a very small job we will arrange a site visit, because specifying equipment without seeing the building rarely produces an accurate price.
